Unfortunately there has been a rise in unqualified dog professionals who are using methods which are detrimental to the way dogs learn and process.
This has given an unrealistic expectation on social media on how training should be done and how quick it can take.
When working with behaviour it is essential to understand the dogs body language and work within their threshold of learning. This takes time as we have to go at the dogs pace to change their emotional response and therefore their behaviour. This is done with ethical and science proven methods.
Working closely with your vet sometimes is required should we look at drug support to help with our training.
The use of prong, shock, slip leads, or any aversive methods is not required when working with behaviour, and it can make the behaviour suppressed or worse.
What is included:
-
Overall assessment of the dogs routine, well being and health
-
Going at the dogs pace
-
Working with behaviour modification techniques
-
Looking at the dogs predatory motor patterns and their outlets
-
Full vet check needed to rule of pain or discomfort
-
Support in between sessions with Whatsapp
Disclaimer: should your dog put anyone at risk during the session, or have a bite history a muzzle is required. This is to keep you, your dog, and the public safe during training.
